"Destiny Africa Children’s Choir (Friday through Saturday) The young singers in this group, ages 9 to 16, are from the Kampala Children Center in Uganda, created seven years ago to rescue children orphaned by war, disease or other hardships. They will be performing at several locations in the area to draw attention and resources to the center, which its director hopes to expand. On Friday at 7 p.m., the group will appear at the Resurrection Church of New York, 740 40th Street, Sunset Park, Brooklyn. On Saturday at 2 p.m., it will be at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe, 126 Crosby Street, near Houston Street, SoHo. And on Sunday at 11:30 a.m., they will perform at the Rhema Church of God, 2403 Albemarle Road, Flatbush, Brooklyn. Donations will be accepted at all performances. For a schedule and other details, see destinyafrica.org."
