Here’s what’s coming up this week at Housing Works Bookstore Cafe:

- The Moth StorySLAM: The Finish Line | Tuesday, 7 pm | An exciting storytelling event. $8 at the door. Come early because it always sells out.

- The Traveler’s Handbook Launch Party | Wednesday, 7pm | If you’re even vaguely interested in travel, you won’t want to miss this launch event for a new series of books that aims to fill the gap between conventional travel guides and the way people want to travel today.

- Raise a Glass to Kingsley: A Celebration of the Life of Kingsley Amis | Thursday, 7pm | Come celebrate the life and works of Kingsley Amis as he re-releases two of his most iconic books: Lucky Jim and The Old Devils.

- Vice Presidential Debate Watch Party | Thursday, 9pm | Watch the VP Debate with the crowd at Housing Works. Come early, it got pretty crowded at the domestic debate. Remember, we have debate bingo and punch cards that could get you a bucket of beer on election night.

- The International Crime Book Group: The Boy In The Suitcase | Saturday, 11:30am | Got a taste for crime and a yen for travel? Like being transported by both crafty plots and exotic locales? Then join our group of armchair detectives for a killer discussion of murder and mayhem that spans the globe.
