Romio Feature: Housing Works Bookstore Cafe
Housing Works is a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Our mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain our efforts
The dual crises of HIV/AIDS and homelessness is a dominant and prevalent health problem throughout the nation, especially among low income communities. In order to get sick individuals the help they need, money will always be a factor and this is why Housing Works Inc operates 13 thrift stores, a bookstore, and a catering service in New York City that distributes the proceeds to its branches of services that focus on helping unfortunate New Yorkers.
